Day surgery is a safe and convenient option for busy people. It is also cost-effective as there is no need for ward admission. Located at Kent Ridge Wing 2, Level 2, NUH Day Surgery Centre aims to offer one-stop convenience to our patients. The admission office, Day Surgery Ward (DSW) and operating theatres are sited in close proximity for our patients' easy access and convenience. With the quality medical care provided by our surgical team supported by modern facilities and equipment, various surgical procedures can be performed as Day Surgery Cases. 80% of our cases are performed at the Day Surgery Operation Theatre. These can be done under local or general anaesthetic. Patients can go home the same day with adequate analgesia.

Examples of cases performed by the Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery department include carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, excision of small lumps etc.
