Dr Sandeep Jacob Sebastin Associate Consultant Department of Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery, National University Hospital Dr Sandeep Jacob Sebastin completed his surgical training in India and obtained his specialist qualification in Plastic Surgery in 2002. He developed a keen interest in Hand Surgery during his Plastic training and felt that it represented the perfect fusion of form & function. To gain more experience, he worked for two years at Ganga Hospital, one of India’s leading Hand Surgical Centers and in 2004, came to our Department as a Clinical Fellow. The fast pace of clinical work, the emphasis on research and the congenial atmosphere in the department enticed him to stay back at Singapore and he joined the department as an advanced surgical trainee in May 2007. He usually appears refreshed after a hard days work and if he seems out of form, it is more likely that he has just returned from leave. When not at work, he is at home spending time with his son, who like the father is quite a handful. He is passionate about photography and can often be seen lugging heavy bags of camera equipment. He has a penchant for wildlife photography, which he owes to the magnificent animals at the Singapore Zoo.
